DeNA Gets Issued A Cease and Desist Order [Social Games]

D

The Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC)  has issued a cease and desist order to DeNA, following claims in December last year that DeNA was breaking the country’s antitrust law.

The JFTC states:

DeNA forced “Specified Social Game Developers” not to provide the games through “GREE”, by disconnecting the website links of the games the developers provided through “Mobage-Town”  if the developers have provided the games through GREE.

The whole process sure wasn’t pleasant for DeNA and these are pretty severe accusations, but even though I am not a lawyer, that should be it for the company. Tech blog Penn Olson collected some comments from DeNA itself.

You can find the full text of the order (in English) in this PDF.
