Daifugo Monsters: Konami’s Card Game Lands On Docomo’s dgame Platform

D

Konami released Daifugo Monsters on dgame earlier this week, NTT Docomo’s new cross-device platform for mobile social games (whose launch turned quite a few heads last month).

Gameplay is based on Daifugo, a Japanese card game that’s known as President (and under other names) in other countries.

In the game, players need to collect cards that show different monsters with different skills that can be trained and upgraded. Players can go on quests, battle it out with each other, or cooperate when running into boss fights at certain points in the game. As usual, there are also elements like gacha or fusion of cards found in Daifugo Monsters.

What’s interesting is that the title was created exclusively for dgame. Other games Konami prepared for the dgame platform are “Professional Baseball Dream Nine” and “World Soccer Collection”, but these aren’t dgame-exclusives.
