DeNA Scores Anime Licenses For Social Games [Social Games]

It’s no secret that Japan is very much an anime nation, which is why the license deal DeNA (http://dena.jp/en) inked today with Toei Animation is potentially good news for them (Toei is one of Japan’s biggest anime production studios).

Under the deal, DeNA will develop mobile social games based on anime titles from Toei.

The first game, farming sim “Nougyou Musume”, is already available on Mobage for feature phones:

The second game, based on the super-popular basketball anime Slam Dunk, will be out this spring on Mobage:

Toei has a huge catalog of anime titles, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see DeNA developing more social games based on their main titles in the near future.
