Eki Dash: New Location-based, Social Game On GREE [Social Games]

E

Tokyo-based mobile social games maker Mobile Factory (English company website) announced a new game that’s now available on GREE for feature phones in Japan. What’s special about “Eki Dash” is that it’s a location-based social game (although it’s not the first of this kind).

Users can control “real” train stations all over Japan and need to protect a “virtual pet” (a robot cat) that lives in the station against other GREE users wanting to conquer the spot.

Eki Dash is free to play, with Mobile Factory saying that they will donate 10% of monthly sales (generated through sales of virtual items) to NGOs in Japan.
