CyberAgent today announced a new iPhone app for Ameba members: Ameba Channel is supposed to make it easier to consume blogs available on the Ameba platform (CyberAgent calls the app a “blog reader”) on the iPhone.
For that, CyberAgent decided to break down the Ameba blogging platform into a total of 11 categories (for example: recipes, golf, J-pop etc.). The company says this makes it easier for users to browse content, bookmark blogs and track when a certain blog was updated.
CyberAgent also says that in Japan, more and more Ameba users are starting to view blogs on smartphones and that Ameba Channel is a reaction to that development.
