Wanko No Jikan: Mobage Gets Social Nintendogs Clone [Social Games]

W

Tokyo-based video game maker Yuke’s released Wanko No Jikan (Dog Time) on Mobage today, a social game obviously “inspired” by Nintendogs, the Nintendo (7974) title.

Much like in Nintendo’s pet simulation, Wanko No Jikan allows users to pet their virtual dogs, play with them, go take a walk together, dress them up, etc.

Regarding the social elements, players can communicate with other Mobage users, go out for a virtual walk together, or take “group photos”. Yuke’s is also planning to hold special in-game events soon.

The game is currently available for Android only, with an iOS version to follow soon (according to Yuke’s).

Wanko No Jikan is the first Mobage title created using Unity, the 3D game engine.
