GREE has added another potentially big title to its social game library, a “battle action game” based on Fist Of The North Star, a popular manga. The title is only playable on Japanese feature phones.
What’s interesting (apart from the big brand name) is that Fist of the North Star is nearly 30 years old (the manga was first published in 1983) and that it’s clearly targeted towards a male audience that doesn’t have a problem with violence in games (the manga isn’t really suitable for kids either).
As usual, playing the title on GREE is free, but players will need to pay for virtual items. Fist of the North Star is provided (on GREE only) by Tokyo-based video game maker Cave.
