All companies developing for GREE on smartphones can now theoretically reach out to an additional 50 million customers: mobile community mig33 has today started providing the GREE platform for smartphone to developers (mig33, which is available on feature phones and Android is adopting GREE’s API specification).
Under the deal, GREE developers can create a game once and push the same title out nearly unchanged to the combined 77 million users on GREE and mig33 (if you add feature phone and smartphone users, that is).
As under the agreement with Tencent in China, GREE is also committed to support development partners to translate and localize Japanese games.
