Clan Battle Of Fate: Platform-Free Social Game On iOS Racks Up 200k Downloads In 3 Weeks [Social Games]

C

Unmei No Clan Battle (“The Clan Battle Of Fate”), a mobile social RPG released by Tokyo-based social game maker Pokelabo and Sega 3 weeks ago, is doing really well.

After a very promising start (on June 22), the social card battle game, which also offer some real-time game elements, hit 200,000 downloads on July 13. Unmei is only available on iOS – only in the Japanese App Store (download) -, and it’s not using the Mobage or GREE networks.

The title peaked at No. 1 in the free app ranking in Japan’s App Store but has now slipped to the 402nd spot, according to App Annie. But Unmei is one of those titles that proves that this chart doesn’t have to mean much when it comes to monetization: in the ranking of the top grossing apps, Unmei is currently No. 4.

More on the game here.
