Sega And Aiming Roll Out Great-Looking Action RPG, Gentou Senki: Griffon

S

In February this year, Sega announced it has teamed up with Aiming, a Tokyo-based developer, to develop mobile games aimed at the global market.

At the same time, the two companies unveiled their first co-developed title, “MO Action Shooting” game Towa No Tsurugi (more here).

Fast forward to June, and another Sega x Aiming title is around the corner, an action RPG called “Gentou Senki Griffon” for smartphones and aimed at “core players”.

Aiming explains:

“Out on an adventure to unravel the secrets of the mysterious tower “Metoxera”,  “Gendou Senki: Griffon” is a full-fledged side-scrolling action RPG. Enter into the world of “Tower Thieves” together with allies and take down enemies at hand. With mere simple controls, experience overwhelming feeling of fun and action, playable with up to 4 friends in co-op mode. Various job classes and skill trees await! On top of other numerous avatar items, customize the play style to suit one’s taste.”

Gentou Senki: Griffon has been in closed beta since April but moved to open beta yesterday.

The game is available in Japanese and on Android only at this point. An iOS version has been announced, but there is no word at this point on a possible international release.
